PDC World Championship Day 6 Preview

The darts continues at the PDC World Championship at Alexandra Palace in London.

Wednesday December 18

Afternoon Session (12.30pm)

3 x First Round, 1 x Second Round

Ron Meulenkamp vs Ben Robb

Ron The Bomb Meulenkamp should win this game on his experience alone. 3-1 to Meulenkamp.

Mickey Mansell vs Seigo Asada

We have previewed this game already – the Clonoe Cyclone if he wins the first set should settle in, but if Asada does, I can see Asada winning this game. His form is much better and he has won a ton of games over on the Asian Tour this year. Mansell will hit the most 180s.

Harry Ward vs Madars Razma

An even game, even though Harry Ward won a Pro Tour early in 2019, he hasnt done much since then. Madars Razma is someone who is dangerous as he can play great or not – who know’s on this one – flip a coin.

Stephen Bunting vs Monk/Justicia

The Bullet Stephen Bunting has been honing his craft in 2019 and steadily his games have been getting better and better. Stephen knows how to win set play and I expect him to beat either of his opponents 3-1.

Evening Session (7pm)

3 x First Round, 1 x Second Round

James Wilson vs Nico Kurz

I do hope former BDO number 1 gets a win here – but he has had some injury problems in 2019 and not had a great year – nothing to suggest he will do any better here – so I will go with Nico to upset the bookies odds. 3-2.

Josh Payne vs Diogo Portela

Josh Payne all day here. Diogo has been on the BDO tour this year and not won anything, so I dont expect him to up to Josh’s level. Josh to win 3-0.

Gabriel Clemens vs Benito van de Pas

Gabriel Clemens to win quite convincingly here 3-0. Benito has slipped down the rankings and I dont expect he will ever get as high as he did.

James Wade vs Edhouse/Koltsov

An enigma James certainly is, but he rarely keeps losing. Wade hasnt done well in the Worlds previously and seems to always peak too early in the year in other competitions but I expect him to win against either Edhouse or Koltsov – whoever comes through that game. 3-0 to James,
